Position: Finance Director

Job Type: Part Time

Hours: Varies Monday-Thursday

Location: Apple Valley, Utah

Compensation: Starting at $15/Hour

Example of Duties:

  • accounts payable
  • payroll
  • billing
  • vendor setup and maintenance 
  • reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy 
  • performing adjustments to data and accounts  
  • reconciling accounts 
  • preparing reports  
  • updating and entering information into databases or computer systems
  • reviewing payment information for completeness and accuracy; making needed adjustments.
  • Reviewing documents to identify any discrepancies; making needed adjustments.
  • Reviewing customer billings for accuracy; approves changes or refunds; reviews and approves vendor billings; reviews and approves payables.
  • Prepares and processes billings, claims, warrants, disbursements and related documents; reviews invoices, warrants or other documentation; checks accuracy of figures; codes authorizations, exceptions, discounts, taxes, etc.

  • use automated accounting and/or financial computer systems
  • prepare financial reports and documentation
  • principles, theories, and practices of budget management
  • agency and/or organizational program(s)

  • use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions
  • make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
  • speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
  • communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
  • use State or town-specific software application program(s)
  • research methods, techniques, and/or sources of information
  • compose and produce reports, documents and related material
  • find, gather and collect information or data
  • read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
  • evaluate information against a set of standards

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Required. Accounting related experience required.

Experience Required:



Applicant should have at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.

Physical Requirements

  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
